Helpful Legal Wedding Information

Registration
All couples need to register their intent to marry with the Registry Office in Nadi. A Likuliku staff member will escort the couple to the Registry Office, which is open in Nadi from 8.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday (closed on public holidays). It takes about 30 minutes
to complete the formalities.

Documentation
The bride and groom must bring the following items to allow a smooth process of registering their intent to marry in Fiji:
• Certified or original copy of their Birth certificate
• Current passport
• If previously married a copy of the divorce/ annulment papers
• A single status confirmatory letter is required – can be obtained from your local JP or lawyer
• A copy of the above documents must be sent to us a minimum of 3 weeks prior to your wedding so we can forward them to the Registry office in Fiji for processing. Please bring the originals with you.
• Following the wedding ceremony, the wedding coordinator could organize your signed documents be sent to the mainland for processing. This is at a minimal cost of F$100.00 and would take approx 4 weeks to be mailed from the actual date of the wedding. Please ask our wedding coordinator for further details at the time of registration.

Please note: If the Wedding Ceremony is a Sunset Ceremony, additional charges will need to be considered for the overnight accommodation of the Celebratn/Minister. *Wedding Package Prices include 17.5% Government Taxes
